Why We Built This
Medical billing in the United States is complicated. There are thousands of procedure codes, each with different rules about how they can be billed. Pricing varies significantly between hospitals, and most people have no easy way to know if what they are being charged is accurate or fair.
We built BillRazor to give consumers a simple way to check their medical bills. Our system reads every line item, compares it against publicly available pricing data and federal billing rules, and flags anything that looks incorrect — duplicate charges, unbundled codes, or prices significantly above regional benchmarks.
If we find potential errors, we handle the dispute process on your behalf. We contact the hospital, present the evidence, and negotiate a correction. You never have to make a phone call or sit on hold.
Our model is straightforward: scanning your bill is free. If we negotiate a reduction, our fee is 20% of the savings, capped at $499. If we cannot reduce your bill, you pay nothing.
