BillRazor analyzes medical bills for billing errors and overcharges. Here is what we can and cannot review.

We can help with

  • Hospital bills (inpatient and outpatient)
  • Emergency room bills
  • Surgery and procedure bills
  • Specialist and physician bills
  • Lab and imaging bills
  • Dental bills
  • Vision and optical bills
  • Pharmacy charges on facility bills
  • Already-paid bills (nonprofit hospitals must refund eligible patients under federal law)
  • Bills in collections (we file financial assistance applications to withdraw bills from collections)
  • Bills with insurance EOB mismatches

We cannot help with (currently)

  • Insurance coverage denials (we handle billing errors, not coverage disputes)
  • Non-US medical bills
  • Workers' compensation claims
  • VA or military facility bills

For best results, upload

  • An itemized bill showing individual charges with CPT or HCPCS codes
  • Bills less than 12 months old
  • Bills totaling more than $500
  • Hospital or facility bills (vs. physician-only bills)

Don't have an itemized bill? Many providers are required to furnish itemized billing information upon request. Requirements vary by state. Learn how to request one.
